Notifications For Tasks After Install

Would be nice to see a dialog in the dashboard after a fresh install telling you to be sure to do cleanup tasks

 

Example:

- Delete install.php

- chmod certain files/folders if needed

- Setup cron jobs

- etc

It tells you about the cron job. Probably would be a good idea about the uploads folder. I don't believe it's much of a security issue keeping install.php however if it is maybe the guys could do a auto remover after install. Good ideas.

Blesta is less annoying about those kinds of things, the biggest thing is the cron.. though I can see mentioning the uploads directory as people generally don't set that until they try and fail at uploading something.

Maybe a little alert like the cron just mentioning if it isn't writeable mate? with a link to your docs

Would just be nice to see a reminder of some post-install tasks. If someone would accidently leave the install.php file in place, someone might be able to mess everything up.

The install.php file can't be used to mess anything up. If it could, we'd require removing it. I think you're just used to other applications that require you to do that. Blesta is smarter than those applications.
