Laflecha Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 Change the hostname to the client domain, when a client wants to access from the section to cpanel I have reseller hosting, my clients when they enter from the area of client to cpanel, the ip of my server leaves without cerficado https://1.1.1.1:2082 Is there any way for my clients to see their own domains and not my ip https://youdomain.com/2082 Quote

austenite Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 @Laflecha you could have your clients visit http://yourdomain.com:2082. Note you have to use port 2082 (unencrypted) rather 2083 (encrypted) otherwise they'll receive an SSL mismatch error. Clients may not be comfortable logging into an unencrypted connection therefore I'd recommend just pointing them to the hostname enabled with SSL on port 2083 to login, most non tech savvy clients don't know the difference anyway. Paul Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 I'm guessing you used an IP for your cPanel/WHM server listed under Settings > Company > Modules > cPanel? You can use your servers hostname instead, which I would recommend. If you have an SSL cert for the server, it's better to use the hostname so the user won't get any SSL errors/warnings. I also suggest enabling the WHM setting that redirects to the server's hostname. For example, mydomain.com/cpanel -> https://your.server.com:2083 for the same reason. Quote
