Bloory Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 Hi I'm wondering if the order flow could be altered to make it easier for clients to buy a domain with their hosting please? Or, is it me? https://clients.coolhost.co/plugin/order/main/signup/shared-linux Thanks --Bloory Michael 1 Quote
0 Michael Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 This is what I've been waiting for haha, I hinted in another thread they was the wrong way round. Quote
0 Moby2000 Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 Hi All This has me stumped also. Have i got this right? First you have to go into the system and order a domain and enter details. Then you have to go back into the system again and order hosting and enter the same domain you have just ordered? The basics for any order form should be.. 1. Choose your domain name. 2. Choose a package. 3 Enter your details. 4. Pay for your products. Is there a method for one page ordering Or am i having another brain fart again lol Steve eversmile_host 1 Quote

0 Moby2000 Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 Hi CubicWebs There doesn't seem to be a method where the client can order a domain then a check is done for the domain, if available then add to order, then can order hosting package to go with the domain name.... then enter clientdetails. the proccess seems a little dis-jointed. For instance i have just been to your site, ordered hosting with my domain name even though my domain is taken? There is no check on the order hosting page to see if that domain name is available or not. Steve Quote

Steve You can order a domain on it's own, use the way above to sell a domain & Hosting etc or sell webhosting on it's own. Quote
0 Moby2000 Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 Exactly. You have to order them seperatley. Or am i missing something ? Steve Quote
0 Michael Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 Exactly. You have to order them seperatley. Or am i missing something ? Steve You can order then separately, or you can do them both together, the only downside is the domain is ordered first. You select domain and other order form, then you can select other packages below it. Quote

0 Blesta Addons Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 I have already requested a advanced template for domain + hosting , the actual order form is not pro for this use . Quote
0 Evaske Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 Also +1 for the domain needing to be checked if it is already in the client system. Michael 1 Quote
