[Error] Can Not Open Directory For Uri: /!

Hi all, well after the install and after uploaded my website got this error: 

 

[ERROR] Can not open directory for URI: /!

 

Any idea? Thanks.

 

PS: no problem when switching back to apache.

Ok, looks like the .htaccess file issue:

 

[HTAccess] Failed to open [/home/quartierchinois/public_html/.htaccess]: Permission denied

You failed to tell us what you are using, you said "no problems when switching back to apache" so what are you using? Nginx, Http/2, LiteSpeed, Air

Looking at default directory He is using probably lite speed,it is permission problem or problem with some rewrite rule.

What are the permissions and ownership for the .htaccess file? Do you have the free or paid litespeed? I believe the free one does not support mod_rewrite rules.

Oh, my bad sorry, I am using litespeed free version @Paul. So It might be the mod_rewrite issue, thanks guys for your helps.

How the hell did you guess that from a home directory lol The only thing I could get was cPanel because public_html.

Have a look at this: http://open.litespeedtech.com/mediawiki/index.php/Help:Install:Quick_Install_WordPress there's something about the virtual host with rewrite so that should if possible help .
