Multiple Emails Going To Customer For Ticket Response

Question

Posted

Every time I submit a response to a ticket, the customer get's that response twice. They both come through immediately. I have tried using PHP mail and am now using SMTP, both have the same result. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Do you have multiple contacts under one client that is setup to receive responses? I don't like this feature either because I only want to respond to the person at a given company that sent the email.

I forgot what the response was but Blesta had different reasoning for this.

I just have one contact and when I check the emails they are exactly the same, the body of the email and the "to:" address. It's even happening for automated emails like invoice reminders.

Ok do you have two cron jobs or did you move your installation that's the only other reason the automatic ones would be sending twice.

Does Blesta's mail log show 2 emails going out to the customer? See Tools > Logs > Email tab. The email address of the customer isn't the same email address for any staff is it?

If it is an old server that may have had Blesta or the cron installed and I have since canceled my account. Is it possible this is still having an effect?

If you have an old server with cron running, yes, it will chug along like normal even if the license is invalid. You will want to kill that cron, and preferably delete the old installation.
