Question

I am looking for a way to convert from ClientExec to Blesta. I was running WHMCS for 2 years and loved it, just to small to pay those type of fees. CLientExec wasn't doing nearly what I could in WHMCS so here I am. Someone told me about and want to try. I don't however, see anyway to import the ClientExec data into Blesta.. Any suggestions?

You have to do it manually, or if WHMCS has a importer for ClientExec you can import to that, and then WHMCS -> Blesta. We've imported manually from their old version for a customer, but nowadays it would be expensive for us to do it as we charge per hour, took about 3-4 hours can't fully remember, the longest manual import was BoxBilling which took 3 full days.

Is there a quick start guide - I don't see a plugin for WHM - It would be nice if Blesta could import that data - that would be a start..

WHMCS importer is under Plugins > Available > Import Manager, then click Manage and then 5.2.

More information here:  https://docs.blesta.com/display/user/Migrating+to+Blesta

We made a easy to follow tutorial here: https://licensecart.com/whmcs-blesta

If you are doing it manually, you need to create the packages: Packages > Add (You'll need the modules set-up first)

After the packages, you need to make the clients: click Clients > Add client, fill in the information from ClientExec client page.

Then click on Add services, select the package, and un-tick use module, and save. Then click Manage, under Actions select Change renewal date, and set the new renewal date.

You can import every invoice we recommend just the open unpaid invoices.
