Calculate Profit Margins

I am new to your community and this is my first post so excuse my ignorance if i overlooked anything from the features list for Blesta.

 

I have been following the dev of Blesta to sometime now and i have to say i am very impressed by the pace of development and energy in this community. I have been considering Blesta for almost 2 weeks now as a billing platform for our SMB company to switch away from Magento.

 

Does blesta support calculating profit margins on goods/services sold?

 

I just need an extra internal-facing field on each service or product offered in the store. Just a place where i can imput the "Cost" and then the ability to pull a simple report against the cost-field to display/chart the profits on the dashboard. 

 

This is a very important feature for us to determine if a price adjustments are needed YoY or on Quarterly basis.

No it doesn't, well not yet

Blesta doesn't currently store any information on your costs, so it is not able to determine profit/loss. Depending on what you're looking for, such a feature could vary wildly in complexity.

 

A simple addition could be to add a field for you to enter a cost on your package (and package options, if any), and then you can just create a custom report from the Report system to calculate profit from services.
