Question

Posted

I use an outside support system and I would like the internal links to support to direct to it and NOT to the default system in Blesta. On the main portal page, I have support linking to my help system, but the internal links when a user is logged in, tries to redirect to blesta support module. I would like these to also redirect to my 3rd party support app.

I'm assuming I need to modify the routes, but I haven't the foggiest on how to to do that.

Any help?

Thanks!

Scott

No, I think blesta route is for redirection within blesta CMS mechanism only.

I think you should just edit blesta template in :

/app/views/client/YOUR-THEME/

there, see within structure.pdt file

there is header menu section when being not login and also an other section when being login

So just modifly the link for the support

The problem with your suggestion is that the links are NOT coded in the structure.pdt file. They are merely variables and the sub-menu is auto generated based on some function. I have changed the master support link, but the autogenerated links in the sub-menu is where the problem arises.

Thank you for your suggestion!

the plugins navigation links in Blesta are stored in the database, therefore, to modify their links, you have to modify their records in your db:

Blesta database >> plugin_actions Table  >> look for the record where action = nav_primary_client >> modify  the uri field to your desired value.

to modify the sub links you have to modify the options field of the same record.

Simply use Admin tools of naja7host user .

you can change the links via admin interface .

I used to use it, but it stopped working. It added the default client portal url to the url I had added in the admin tools interface so for example the url on the webpage was http://my.hostingdifferent.com/hD/clienthttp://help.hostingdifferent.com.

It used to work fine, but something broke it.

can you check database to se what url in it

this one

http://help.hostingdifferent.com'>http://my.hostingdifferent.com/hD/clienthttp://help.hostingdifferent.com

or

http://help.hostingdifferent.com

I figured that. LOL Even though I can manually change the links in the database, blesta is overriding them by adding the base url to every link. Your plugin used to work but there must have been a change in blesta that now breaks it. :(

It also really sucks that I can't even manually change the links in the database. I have to delete the link all together and not have one. :(

Hm. Blesta always added the base URI in the links. I don't think we made any changes around that recently.

But I do like the idea of actions opening external URLs. I think that's something we could support.

Could someone open a feature request?
