Is it possible to implement auto ticket status to "awaiting reply" when answering the ticket?

Currently an extra click after each answered ticket is required to change status.

Also if ticket is not assigned to anyone, after replying the ticket, it would be nice that it would be assigned to the person that answered it.

I believe there was a discussion about this and it was denied as it's best sometimes to keep it the same, but that wouldn't happen, and then to auto assign it would be daft.
