Position One Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 The drop down used in Blesta v3.2.2 contact details forms for entering State / Province for the UK, is a mixed bag of all UK towns, cities and provinces, rather than provinces only. Which seems odd, considering the contact form City input is only a text input and not a drop down of UK towns and cities, which is what you'd expect.
Michael Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 It's because Blesta uses a ISO list of counties for each county around the world. But my mate / employee has always put Leeds as his country even though it would technically correctly be West Yorkshire. So it could be a modern thing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_counties_of_the_United_Kingdom
Position One Posted August 6, 2014 Author Report Posted August 6, 2014 Sorry, but that's not the issue. The drop down is a complete mix of towns, cities and counties and is therefore mixing two different sets of data.
Blesta Addons Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 can you sput here a sample of duplication ?
Position One Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 This isn't a case of duplication, it's mixed data. For a comprehensive listing of counties, see here: http://www.townscountiespostcodes.co.uk/counties-in-uk/ If you compare that with what's produced in the drop down, you'll see exactly what I mean.

That's a good list, you have to remember as I stated they use a database and the guys aren't from our area so they don't know what is what and rely on the data they bought.
Tyson Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Blesta uses the ISO 3166-2 standard for subdivisions, and is not necessarily limited to a simple list of counties. Michael 1
Michael Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Blesta uses the ISO 3166-2 standard for subdivisions, and is not necessarily limited to a simple list of counties. I learned something new today I never knew that there was Metropolitan borough's.
