Alexander Orlov Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Would it be possible to add documents to a customers document list via email. for example have a email address linked to the document plugin so it changes itself for a client for example if I emailed 1500@mydomain.com with the attachment becomes the document, then the subject comes the document title and the body comes the description But only have it accept documents from staff email accounts. as we provide a managed service and email customers reports and maybe we can put their email address then email their get their reports straight to the client area. Cody Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 Such a feature would require a lot more verification than just a staff email from address, as that would be trivial to spoof, and my guess is you wouldn't want random viruses appearing in your client's documents section. Something like this would require you to use signed email messages. This means you'd need to use PGP message signing for the email you send, which would then need to be verified by the web server when it's received to ensure the content of the message really did come from you, and that is hasn't been altered when in transit.
