The License Failed To Validate

Question

Posted

Hi,

I've downloaded the Blesta, installed it and have selected the trial version.

However I'm getting the message:

Invalid License

The license failed to validate for the following reasons:

  • The license key is invalid.

It shouldn't be invalid, actually the key wasn't entered at all.

So, how can I get this on the trial first?

Thanks in advance.

Where are you installing it?

Localhost? http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/804-trying-to-install-free-trial-says-the-license-key-is-invalid/#entry6822

No it's not localhost. From that thread I can see that it may be blocked if the IP was used with Blesta in the past. I've got the dedicated IP a couple of days ago. That's the only logic I can see right now.

I've send the email to sales.

Meanwhile if someone can advise security steps after the installation. I see I can change the route of the admin access.

Something else in regards to security?

I suppose I do not need the install.php file anymore, but also not sure should I delete it since I do not see it can be accessed anymore and jeopardized?

Yeah no-one can use the install.php after it's installed because Blesta is clever. I take it your using the 3.0.5 files. Would you be able to post here the PHP, Mysql and OS here for the developers, so they can find the issue faster for you. I don't think it is the IP myself, because I've installed trials on the same IP but different domain name's before.

I think the issue in your case is that the IP address for the server is a local IP and that the server is behind a NAT. We're looking at ways to address this issue in particular, but hosting the site on a public IP address and not behind a NAT should resolve the issue for now.
