Question

Hi there,

I am new to Blesta and have a number of questions an comments:

  1. is there a way to add credit card processing fee - 1.5% per invoice?
  2. When adding Plesk hosting Services without provisioning, a username and pswd appears however they don't appear anywhere in Plesk and is not associated with Subsription. It looks like Blesta is creating them but they have no bearing on Plesk account and login fails.
  3. When clicking Log In (to control panel) it takes me to IP address, not the actual URL of control panel which is a problem. There doesn't seem to be a way to set the URL for control panel IP in servers. 2 & 3 are potentially big problem.
  4. When creating Services for existing hosting clients, there is no way to set Creation Date. It defaults to today. I then have to click each individual service to set Renewal Date and also have to edit each line item with Start/Finish date. There should be way to set Creation Date when creating the Service.
  5. No way to override Invoice number. Not a biggie but would be nice.
  6. How can I hide Knowledge Base?
  7. Can we make changes to backend without losing them on upgrade?

All in all I like Blesta but seems to be missing some of the finer points which seem like they should be pretty standard.

Thanks
Glenn

I answered these via chat, so this is just a copy from there.. it may be useful to others:

There's no transaction/gateway fee. I would suggest building it into your cost.
A username must be created for Plesk accounts, it's typically used to log into Plesk and for FTP.
Plesk requires the IP, I believe we have a task to also add a friendly URL that would be used for the login in the future
Creation date has no impact on renewal, you just need to update the renew date.
Settings > Billing/Payment > Invoice Customization is where you set invoice number rules. Changing it in the database may break things.
Finer points like what?
KB is part of the Support Manager, you can uninstall the Support Manager under Settings > Plugins. Will remove support tickets & KB. If you only want to remove the link to the KB, there's a way to remove it in the database.
Depends on your changes. We recommend extending Blesta through plugins, and other extensions. These changes are not lost. There's no safe way to merge customizations to the core automatically.
For Stripe see https://docs.blesta.com/display/user/Stripe#Stripe-PossibleIssues and enable the option. Blesta uses tokenization if you've checked the box, but the card is passed through and Stripe recently started giving this warning because they can't tell if it's tokenized or not.
