Reverts to Old Saved Info After Upgrade

Question

Posted

Hi!

- Got the "invalid invoice ID" error - and re-upgraded to 4.2.2 via CLI

- Now email templates look correct, but when emails are generated they use old, default info

- Mail settings have reverted to old settings

- Signatures look right when you edit them - but are old values inserted into emails

- Re-editing has no effect

- No errors being generated!

Help!!!!

Thanks,

/ljj

Upgrading doesn't really revert any settings, and email templates will send as they are shown in the UI. If you're seeing the wrong information going out, I would be very suspicious that you may have another install somewhere using a different database, for which your cron is running against. It's impossible for Blesta to send an email using an old email template, because the old template is not stored anywhere.. when you save changes, they are immediate and completely replaced.

Thanks for the info!!

What I have seen is the actual sent email is CORRECT - but  the LOG entry for the email shows the wrong message and wrong signature.

Signatures are wrong in the UI - but edit them and the correct one is there!

Only one DB on the account this is running on.  The account and cron is set to run under PHP 5.6

It makes no sense - never had a single issue until now....

The log only logs the text version of the email template. Maybe you have a discrepancy between your HTML and Text versions? You should check.

Not sure what you mean by the signatures are wrong in the UI, but correct when you edit them. Screenshot?

Nevermind!

That was it - html/plain text!

Sorry for being so dense!!!  :)

One more question - is there a way to delete an email from the queue?   One email was created with old SMTP info - I try "resending" it with corrected "From" - but it keeps trying to resend every cron cycle?

Thanks for your help!

The only emails that are queue'd are invoices. You can edit the invoice and uncheck the Email option. If the mail is queue'd in your SMTP spooler, then you'd have to delete it from your mail server.
