Plesk: Cant Add Two Packages To A Single Users Account

Recommended Posts

To replicate:

Create a customer in Blesta.

Create a plesk hosting package

Add as a service, a domain, to a customer account, (Adds just fine).

Add a second service with a different domain to the same customers account and the following error is thrown

1002 Can't create domain. Domain: somthingew.com [domain.com].

Reason: Failed to create 'somthingew.com'.

The maximum number of domains allowed has been reached. (Error code 1)

Please advise...

The Plesk module creates a new "customer" account in Plesk for each service ("subscription") you create--so this wouldn't be a bug as it is intended to work this way.

As for your error, it sounds to me like you're receiving it because your service plan in Plesk has already reached it's max domain limit, and Plesk simply cannot add anymore. Check your service plan limitations in Plesk.

Thats not whats happening.....

The service plan in plesk has no setting for max amount of customers/subscriptions from what I can see.

When you try and add a service in blest it throws that error and doesn't add the service in blesta, however in plesk it will add the new customer and the domain, it will just say 'no hosting' next to that domain, I can then within plesk edit the domain to have hosting (in the same service plan) manually... and that works fine, its just blesta not adding more than one plesk service to the same user properly for some reason....

This error comes from Plesk. If you can include your module logs (available under [Tools] -> [Logs]) related to this transaction we may be able to discover more about why you received this error. Feel free to omit any sensitive information in those logs before posting.

When Blesta creates a service, the hosting plan should automatically be assigned to the subscription in Plesk. The fact you had to do this manually leads me to believe there may be a misconfiguration with the service plan such that the hosting plan is not being automatically linked with the subscription.

A little more disconcerting is that Plesk gave you that error, but created the domain anyway.

I'm not sure I understand that last part. Blesta creates a separate customer account (in Plesk) for each subscription (in Plesk) that is created when adding a service for a client (in Blesta). This was necessary in keeping identifying information available to Blesta for mantaining the service.

I assume you changed your IP address to zero octets? If so, you missed the one at the top.

But besides the IP address, everything else looks fine. The error received from Plesk indicates you've reached the domain limit, so you'll need to look in Plesk under Subscriptions and Service Plans for more information, and to compare the number of domains being used for a subscription has not reached the limit available to the plan. You can view the maximum number of domains setting under Service Plans -> Resources tab in Plesk.

You can also ask Plesk support as to what would cause you to receive this error when adding a subscription via the API:

Can't create domain.
Domain: nodomain876.co.uk [nodomain876.co.uk].
Reason:
Failed to create 'nodomain876.co.uk'. The maximum number of domains allowed has been reached.
(Error code 1)
