Advice on License Manager

So im working with the license manager and i see some but not a whole lot of documentation. I just have a few questions that i feel arent really explained well.

 

What is the best way to create a Support and Updates package?

 

The Shared secret is what comes back from the software to validate, is it best to use the same one between multiple products for the same software? It also doesnt appear that the shared secret gets hidden after u save it IE shows ******* in the box... Should this be a concern?

You can create a package with a none module in an addon group and then link it to the product group and select it from the dropdown menu on the manage license_manager product.

 

The shared secret should stay the same :s

If you have one product that has trial, monthly, owned then they should share same secret, if you have two different plugins your working with, each one should have its own secret for its license call. It being visible is not a concern in the admin panel of blesta as only admins see it. You want to encode this in your project though as its part of your license call.
