It depends. If you have an owned license and the affiliate comes out after and it needs a base version which is higher (like the mass mailer will work only on 4.0.0+ because it uses the new framework then yes you need to renew expired support and updates). Otherwise you can just upload the plugin to your installation and it will work as normal.

Yes Blesta with the cron will suspend and terminate if needed.

Another update for fellow customers and new visitors, CyanDark is going to be working on a target of March 2017 for our CMS, so we have added a few features of 1.3.0 into it to make it well worth the wait. We will also be offering a monthly tier as we have been asked for it, however it would work out cheaper to buy the Owned license but it's there if you can't afford $100 straight away.

You can use a vps made by SolusVM, or another network vps incase your network goes down, you could even install Blesta on shared hosting just you will be limited to what the host allows.

Even smart people don't always follow the rules. Blesta has a high requirement for their modules / plugins, etc. If you want to have rushed work feel free to do it yourself and see how hard and time consuming it is to have a secure, working code which looks beautiful to read.

The issue here is do you want Quality work or rushed work. Blesta are a small team who know how Blesta likes their software to be coded, audited by themselves and ensure it reaches the end users quality needs. You can hire any tom dick or harry to produce anything but it could be rushed, bad quality and security prone. Low cost / out-sourced isn't always the best option.

It would be points for things like orders / keeping account on top of payments / length of time registered with orders and then they can exchange them into rewards which can be a lot of things so would have to be a few options. - Account Credit ($$ for points so 100 points = $1.00) or something like that. - Free product (claim a free product). - Discount code off a product e.g: 500 for 5% off a product or something. - Maybe a manual gift card of a choice: PSN / Xbox Live / etc.

Yeah mate the guys will be doing one but people have been asking or moaning about the domain system, so the guys have prioritised that higher than the affiliate system but they are working on it soon.
