Carl said: I would like to see something better than passwords coming. ...but it's always a new "second factor" method. It never really change the problem : passwords. I think you missunderstood how it's work (since about more than one decade for 99% EU banks), by using a second factor, it's mean you have added a new layer of security to the user/password, as just after using that most common second factor, is you need to type a "moving key", so if your user/password couple is stolen (by viral software that know what websites you are connected with, what user/password you used), it's will be stopped to re-use it by the moving key they can not know as it's change every time. The "moving key" depending of method, can come by : - SMS OR - Email (better that SMS, because if you travel, depending of countries, you will not get your SMS) Or you have a little "digipass", it's like a micro-device that display new key every x mins but synchronized with the bank system or with, or other etc. Off course there are many other methods, but these above are some of the most common

a Blesta test install is alway the best but if you use invoice prefix, say "test-", it's should do the job, and remove prefix after your test.

Add Monthly Calculations To Order Page (Optional)
serge replied to Daniel B's topic in Feature Requests
not certain if it's part of your answer, but I found that package number at blesta (coming from every new package created - incrementation), is what blesta is using at order form for displaying your packages order, example: package number on order form they will be displayed by growing number, so the when when creating package always start from cheapper, so at order form it's will be more logical display. -
I like Max idea to create still a single invoice but allow customer to remove item: Or a single proforma with a link to a page where the customer can change which items to renew. and of course in addition, also the both option to enable/disable it : - for all Blesta OR - for a given customer group But certainly we still need option to send separate invoices by product/service (not grouped Invoices), as maybe the single invoice with allowing customer to remove item in invoice could not fit well for some other case.

maybe upload again module, because sometime file(s) can be altered with ftp transfert

yeah, like some other, in my opinion nothing is more needed than the domain management, I use Blesta for new products I launched (no related to domain) but still use WHM** for my registry business as without domain management, it's just not possible to move this part. I do not see any other Blesta module project more important than domain management

have you check these tables: - service_fields - service_options - services

Blesta: Over A Year And Still Lacking Features...
serge replied to Prime Media's topic in The Lounge
YES, Domain Management system, is what is the most missing, as by essence close to 90% in webhosting sector, just need it. and when it will be done, all "success" and other registrar modules, will be following fine/quick. -
+1 oh yes, when you have resellers, you have to create/update so many invoices, because your reseller will not be renewing all services every month/year, if their own customers do not renew, and chance it's happen is 100% of invoice need to be manually updated or created. so I believe it could be nice to disable invoice grouping, but also depending of a given customer group

I switched 6 years ago, I even do not need a microsoft computer, all is now using linux, but I'm not a gamer, just business & computer network, coding ;-) If all people move to linux, I suspect we will get virus, as the scamer-mafia that created big software (they spend millions) to hack your bank account or known what you type as password, are all made for microsoft untill now. It's crazy by today there are banks not having second key factor (moving second key), when login at online bank. In EU all banks do have it since many years, in Belgium it's since more than 10-15 years, but I discovered than in US, Bank of America do not have it, so if you are a microsoft user & at Bank of America it's like you have a label on you, "PLEASE STOLE ME"

I Found linux desktop distro are more easy to use than Microsoft

if from database you export customer emails, you can do anything you want with mass email providers

paypal sandox is know for not working well, so better to use Paypal merchant production account and make your product at very few price for test by paying from a paypal user account.

screen shot was only related to a webmin/vitualmin/cloudmin theme But I hope Blesta module will be released by LukesUbuntu

Wh**s Price Increase, Just Crazy, More Than Double Yearly Support & Update
serge replied to serge's topic in The Lounge
when a company need cash, better they add a muti-year option being less expensive in proportion than just double price of the same product. also regarding software or internet service, even when you are or had been popular, it's difficult to stay in such cycle more than few year and after 5-10 years the whole market or technology change, so it's not just upgrade needed but really an other software to re-build with new standard or new customer requirements and if you do not slightly anticipate, you become what is AWBS is by now. -
mostly regarding blesta template customization, Frontend templates are here MY-BLESTA-PATH/app/views/client so there you could copy the bootstrap folder, & rename it to a custom name, What I did was to remame it like my domain without the extension, so later when I will be muti-domain (multi-company), I will have one template by company. purpose to have your own template, is for not being rewritted when there is Blesta update So in your template folder, there is structure.pdt file, it's from here your content come from. Note also you need Portal/cms plugin activated at blesta, and also makes your front end template is set at the blesta admin panel
-
your error "404" is certainly not related to blesta, you could create 2 files at the root of your blesta install hello.txt with content Hello lethal network info.php with content <?php // Show all information, defaults to INFO_ALL phpinfo(); ?> and if both load fine in your Internet browser, your webserver config is ok. Please note that all above is not related/specific to blesta, but if above do not work, Blesta will not be working as well
-
+1 for the blesta module. webmin/vitualmin is really good and when using this modern bootstrap theme, it's really fine: https://github.com/qooob/authentic-theme

PHP Mailparse could be installed for CLI but not for other PHP, so install it also for the common PHP example on my debian, I have 3: /etc/php5/cli /etc/php5/fpm /etc/php5/cgi so your php ini file for each must include the mailparse extension, and your php or server must be re-started also, double check that your firewall allow port(s) you need for pop or imap, and are you using an anti-span because, if yes you need SPF DNS record and test that your email pass through DKIM, but even if you are not using an anti-span, your customer will, so you need to be ok with SPF & DKIM SPF test: --------- http://www.openspf.org/Why http://www.kitterman.com/spf/validate.html http://vamsoft.com/support/tools/spf-policy-tester dkim test: ------------- http://www.port25.com/support/authentication-center/email-verification/ http://www.brandonchecketts.com/emailtest.php

in your vhost file for your domain (for debian it's under: /etc/nginx/sites-available) before the php location block, have you this: ## Your only path reference. root /MY-FULL-PATH-TO-BLESTA-INSTALL/ ; index index.html index.htm index.php; #Core rewrite location @blesta { rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php last; # rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php/(.*) /$1 permanent; } and just before the end of the "server" block: if (!-e $request_filename){ rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php; } #Core rewrite location @blesta { rewrite ^(.*)$/index.php/(.*) /$1 permanent; } and restart 1/ php5-fpm 2/ nginx
-
But your issue is more the redirection to home page, let me check my nginx config about it
-
Everything is fine with your parameters. Using also Nginx my install work like you, and certainly it's the same with any other webserver. My feeling about friendly URL, SEO, etc....... is it only related to FRONTEND and not related to BACKEND. I think this is not only for Blesta but for a lot of CMS, all about SEO and search engine is for the FRONTEND by essence, as search engine can not index content for BACKEND that require being login.
-
have you example not being "service" item to sell with Blesta? by the way event e-book, or downloadable or any intangible product are still "service" for VAT, so still using same rate depending of country where user is buying.
