New Support Ticket Status: On Hold
Blesta Addons and 3 others reacted to Paul for a topic
Please see CORE-2135 It's currently in our "Short Term" bucket. If you don't see it in 4.0 beta 1, please feel free to nudge us it seems likely we could add it during the beta.4 points -
Well I can agree with most Austenite said,I used WHMCS for years and still have active licence and one local Site/Company i used it as billing sistem ,well it is free hosting for developers in my country so in theory i don't need billing there just auto provision, ticket sistem..etc but thing is WHMCS has already very good translation and I have licence so it is logic choice.. I like Blesta and I start to use it even i can't maintain all products i can with WHCMS,I had to code for some time to make it usefull for me I'm waiting still for some futures like most others, but at least it is stable and secure..and most important code is open in almost 99.99%. Yes WHMCS is first choice for everyone simple because they have huge community and developers base...I mean you can find integrations for BudgetVM(I don't even know anyone who resell their products) but it is there or..module for .TK domains even their API never worked...well there is integration and translation for almost evreything on this planet..and that is why people run there first..not because of quality... So Blesta should learn from this,it has already quality ...now we need more integrations and better start point for developers and more freedom when it comes core.... In my opinion the best way(if hiring more employers is not option) would be working on same campaign to attract more developers.... i must admit when I start to use Blesta I tought it will growth much faster but in my opinion it is very slow process. Every company that use Blesta or any other script want to offer more and more service/products with time and want to make user interface better to offer something new...Blesta is very frendly when it comes this, they listen what users have to say and what they need I must say this, they accept every suggestion if there is even few users vote for it ,it just need to be implemented little faster.This... with some changes in core related to extended funcionality would make things much better.I will stay with Blesta of course,I'm in position I can wait or make some changes my self but this also has some disadventage..it is not so easy for me to upgrade any more since I made some changes in core but I hope with 4 things will be much better. In general I don't like to put on fire any particular service/product/script I used or I'm using,WHCMS help me build business and to be honest I could work with it even now and many things would be much easier but this came at huge price and with much work to just make it secure and stable. But sometimes we are forced to make some comparation to see where we are. In my opinion Blesta vs WHMCS Stable Huge community/developers base Secure Integration for almost everything Open code Translation for almost all language Well coded Less resource intensive Frendly staff & community Very good looking Mobile ready Very easy customized Price/No aditional cost3 points

Thanks guys Lol, the comment about confusion was in jest, it was a poke at the hosting industry in general lol. there was a section where she talked about our packages but i ripped it out cuz she nailed it in a different take and there were some errors in the take i used despite it being the best overall. I'll be incorporating it into a second video later in the week though =]2 points

Next Eta For Update
PauloV and one other reacted to a.daniello for a question
I'ld like to make a point about what we (as user) expect from next new major release, but i think that a forum is not a good place to communicate with developers and/or to submit issues. Personally, i lost the "pleasure" to sharing on this forum my opinions, suggestions, doubts, ... because i see that Blesta is going to a great direction, but this is not mine. We're european users and there are so many differences and needs between Blesta's market and our; i understand that Blesta devs think for their bigger market and i appreciate so much their attempts to come with our needs. In same way i think that Paul & co could share their programs, also if they are a small firm. And i would love to see, before next major release, an action to make order and update documentation and this (or better another) issues repository. Now i wait a response "Blesta works fine for me" or "All you want is in dev.blesta.com", but this is not what i try to say. Thanks and sorry for my tedious thought. Achille P.S.: sorry for my poor english2 points -
The mass mailer is effectively done pending a few tweaks. There is 1 more planned sprint, and possibly 1 more after that depending on how things look. There is no official ETA, but if I were to guess I'd say beta in April. Since 4.0 is a major release, we will likely have a couple more beta releases than normal. During beta's we usually have a release once a week. We will be looking for feedback during the beta on new functionality as well as any bugs.1 point

We are open to implementing DNS modules, but no immediate plans. The most immediate thing will be that with our improvements to domains we will be adding support for managing DNS for domains that use the registrars name servers. For example, with Enom, if the domain is set to use Enom's name servers the customer will be able to manage their DNS zone. What do you want to see in terms of DNS integration?1 point

Very nice! I like how you linked up directly to the correct package and pre-select the 1 year term instead of monthly. Only thing I might recommend is a background color in the div behind the video or see if you can get the video to fill it in a little better.1 point

Are the links correct? Do they contain http:// or https:// as the protocol? Does your website redirect http requests to https? If so, that may break the links.1 point

There's no limit to making a payment for an invoice except when the invoice is already paid. What process of making a payment is not working correctly, exactly? Is this related to the link sent in an email, or a link in the dashboard, or..?1 point

Nice video mate but she said you might be confused with the packages to choose from but didn't tell us which package was which and what would be best for us1 point

Next Eta For Update
PauloV reacted to Blesta Addons for a question
they have a spent a lot of time in 4.0.0 Sprint 5, and after they should do Sprint 6 .... and maybe more . i don't think is the mass mailer ! version 4 is a major release , not just a core improvement, it also a minphp upgrade to use namespace , that can lead to rewrite/upgrade some files/plugins/modules . but from my point , i will not surprised if it arrive in Q3 the beta/final release 4.1 point -
New Support Ticket Status: On Hold
Blesta Addons reacted to evolvewh for a topic
It's really not that hard to implement and I documented all of it here so you can recover after an upgrade if you over write the files.1 point -
Same here, however "In Progress" means it's being worked on, "On Hold" would mean it's being on hold waiting for updates.1 point

Well said Mike, thanks for that. Support & updates for Blesta Owned Branded and Unbranded is $39/yr after the 1st year. It's not mandatory, you just won't be able to upgrade or get support if it's expired. There are no penalties if you don't renew, wait some time, and then renew it. Also, for a fun, and biased comparison of Blesta vs whmcs, check out www.billingbrawl.com1 point
